PowerUP Academy is a hands-on, in-person electrical training center dedicated to electricians across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Founded by Ben Kolo—a licensed master electrician, apprenticeship instructor, and long-time business owner—our mission is simple: to help working electricians stay safe, skilled, and up to code.
Ben has over 35 years of experience in the electrical trade. This hands-on experience matters. When you're choosing who to learn from, you want someone who’s actually done the work—someone who understands the code and the jobsite. Ben’s been in your shoes, and faced real-world problems. That’s the kind of insight you can’t get from a textbook.
